Job Title: Discipleship Director
Reports To: Session/Executive Director
Responsibilities / Duties

Develop, grow and nurture a Discipleship Ministry Vision and team.

Recruit, equip and mentor volunteer and staff Discipleship Leaders for Men, Women, Young Adult, Youth and Children’s ministries.

Guide and assist Discipleship Leaders to develop short and long-term goals for spiritual growth and ministry offerings to engage and connect people to Christ and each other.

Create and implement a vision and assimilation strategy for Small Group Ministry
- Develop a system to recruit and train Small Group leaders
- Maintain regular connection and shepherding with Small Group leaders
- Develop a system to review, maintain and recommend curriculum

Create and implement a vision and assimilation strategy for Large Group Ministry such as fellowship events, retreat style events, etc.

Research and create new methods and processes for successfully helping people grow deeper in their faith in Christ and in their relationships with others.

Adapt to the changing demographics and needs of the congregation and community in order to allow for the church to adapt to those needs.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree (or corresponding degree) from an accredited college or university preferably with coursework in theology/religion.

A saving relationship with Jesus Christ, and willingness to set the example in the regular practice of personal prayer and Bible study.

Demonstrated Spiritual development of people.

Experience building/leading a Discipleship Ministry in a church.

Prior Church Staff Experience.

Teaching the Word of God, Biblically and Reformed Theology.
